The 63-700 is Onsrud's single-flute upcut O-flute for hard plastics. It's made for a smooth finished edge in acrylic, polycarbonate and similar rigid sheet.

Hard plastics melt if the cut gets hot. The single O-flute takes a full-size chip and the upcut spiral lifts it clear, so the heat leaves with the chip instead of building up in the part. That gives you a clean edge rather than a re-welded, gummy one.

Where it fits

  • Acrylic and polycarbonate: sign faces, displays, guards and fabricated parts.
  • Other rigid plastics: material that cuts cleanly as a chip rather than smearing.
  • Special Point versions (63-743 to 63-746): a pointed tip for plunging and fine detail work.

Choosing a size

27 part numbers, from 1/16" to 1/2" cutting diameter and 1/4" to 1-5/8" cut length, on 1/8" to 1/2" shanks. For soft plastics and foam, the 63-750 and 52-700 series are the better fit.
