The Amana Tool 46172 is a solid carbide compression spiral router bit with a 3/8″ cutting diameter, built for CNC panel processing and fine woodworking.
Compression spiral geometry
A compression bit combines an up-cut flute at the tip with a down-cut flute above it. The two act against each other on a double-sided panel, pulling the top and bottom veneers inward at the same time. The result is a clean edge on both faces in a single pass, with no scoring cut and no flip.
