MDF, particle board, plywood, and OSB cut differently than solid wood — more abrasive on the edge, and prone to fuzzing or chipping at the surface if the flute geometry isn't matched to the material. This collection is solid carbide bits selected for engineered wood specifically, not solid-wood bits repurposed for sheet goods.
Plywood and veneered panels benefit most from a compression-style bit (cutting up and down simultaneously) to keep both faces clean; MDF and particle board usually do better with a straight or upcut bit optimized for chip clearance, since the material itself doesn't have grain direction to fight.
Available across multiple shank sizes and cutting diameters for cabinet components, furniture parts, and architectural millwork production runs.
