SKU: 52-710 LMT Onsrud
The 52-700 is Onsrud's high-helix two-flute upcut O-flute. Its special point geometry is designed to improve the bottom finish. Onsrud lists it for plastics and for wood.
The high helix and upcut spiral move chips out fast. That's useful in thick sheet and soft material, which clogs a slot easily. Two flutes let you run a higher feed than a single-flute tool at the same chip load.
Where it fits
- Thick plastic sheet and foam: deep cuts where chips have to come out quickly.
- Wood and composite wood: upcut work with good chip clearance.
- Pocketing: the special point helps leave a cleaner pocket floor.
Choosing a size
22 part numbers, from 1/8" to 1" cutting diameter and 3/8" to 4" cut length, plus 12, 16 and 20 mm metric sizes. The long-reach versions (52-728 and 52-734, 4" cut) are for thick foam blocks.
